THE Taste Cafe has found full flavour in
our community.
This week it has celebrated a first birthday in style. The church led, volunteer staffed venture can be found amongst shops on Woodbridge Road, close to St. John the Baptist church. Forty volunteers from eight churches, including St John’s, have served over 7,000 customers in the past year.
At the birthday party, The Revd. Antony Wilson, vicar of St John’s said: “So many people have been involved in what we feel is an exciting and highly worthwhile cause.“The café has touched the lives of so many people. It's used regularly by a wide range of customers and has become a well known meeting place in our area.
“The community has embraced it and we hope it will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Sue Wright, of the Suffolk Foundation who helped with funding, said: “We are delighted to see the way it's
flourishing and becoming a big hit in the area it serves.” County Councillors
Judy Terry and Sandy Martin also helped with the funding.
The Taste Café is a church led community café at 426 Woodbridge Road, providing a comfortable environment to come and enjoy freshly made coffee, tea and cakes. You can also buy sandwiches from the bakery next door and we'll provide a plate alongside your drink!
Taste is staffed by an enthusiastic team of volunteers drawn from 8 local churches. If you are a member of a local church and would like to get involved on the team please contact the church office.
