Pastoral Elders at St John’s The pastoral elders at St John’s are lay elders who provide pastoral support for the parish and church members. They can be contacted via the office if you have any matters for prayer or would like to have someone to pray with you. We have divided the parish into five areas and two or three elders are responsible for each area. So please do contact us via the office if you would like to have someone to talk to. The elders also visit the elderly in care homes in the parish and take regular worship services there. They also take home communion to those unable to come to the church services. The church provides regular training and support for the elders.
