At St John’s we have specific activities for the men of all ages.

For those that love football there is chance to have a kick around on our church pitch on a monthly basis. You do not have to be a great player just come with some enthusiasm.

 Also on a monthly basis we gather at church for Men’s Bible and Beer, where we spend time together studying God’s Word. We either follow the regular home group program or discuss issues that affect men in the modern church today or anything else that we can think of!  This is a very informal hour or so together and is ideal for any guys regardless of where you are on your journey. After an hour or so of discussion we retire to the Fat Cat Pub round the corner for well earned a pint or two!

We also try to get a walking weekend away together once a year – normally in the autumn and usually in the Peak District. Again this is a great opportunity to spend time together and get away from the regular routine of home life.
