I have been the Vicar at St John's since February 2008. I am married to Julia and we have 4 children. My passion is to see the local church being the best news in our community.

Elisheva Mechanic - Curate
I am married to Roni and have three grown up children. I started as curate at St John's in June 2010. I love to encourage others in their gifting and to express their God-given talents and ministries and prayer is high on the agenda for me.

Rachel Bricknell Children and Families Worker Duncan Stanway Youth Worker
Rachel - I was born in London and then lived in Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire before studying English in Lancaster. I met my husband at school and we came to live in Ipswich when we married in 1985. I have two nearly grown up children and have worked in Children's Centres before coming to work at St John's. Through my years of getting to know God I have found him to be a constant presence and challenge in my life. Duncan - Before
joining St John’s, I worked as an intern at CYM
(Christian Youth Ministries) in Ipswich. I really enjoys sport, and
like to keep active. Being a youth worker is the best
job I could ever have because of the first hand experiences of seeing young
people grow in their faith and becoming all they can be for God.

I have lived in Ipswich for 21 years and retired 2 years ago. Married to Peter and have 2 children, Becky, married to Tom and Chris, to be married to Sarah in Aug 2011. Enjoy the outdoors, walking and cycling, and tennis when possible!

Roger Coley - reader
I've been a reader since 1987 - originally in Woking and now at St John's. I came to Ipswich with my wife Jenny to work for BT following redundancy. Retirement has allowed me time to continue serving God as a reader, as coordinator of the small groups and to enjoy my pastimes of bell ringing and woodwork.
